Quick reference

BuildingCategoryCostWhat it does
Robot Vacuum Mk1Robots$250Your first automation. Cleans the 19 hexes around its dock — two full rings — and sends the dust home by belt.
Robot Vacuum Mk2Robots$500Three rings instead of two — 37 hexes per dock — and a little quicker than the Mk1.
JONASRobots$20,000Just One Overpriced, Non-essential Automated Sweeper. A six-armed spider robot that cleans the moon by itself, one hex at a time.
Capsule CatcherLogisticsVariesThe landing pad for JONAS capsule rockets. Stores incoming dust and either feeds your factory or sells it.
PackagerLogistics$100Load dust with one click; it packs capsules and sends them down a belt. Pointed at a station, it sells for you.
Conveyor Belt, Splitter & MergerLogistics$0.50 per metreMoves capsules between robots, machines and stations. Splitters and mergers route the flow.
Pressure ChamberProduction$500Pressurises moon dust into moon sand, which sells for three times the price.
Stone PressProduction≈ $1,000Combines 1 kg dust and 1 kg sand into 2 kg of moonstone worth about seven times raw dust.
Large Solar TrackerPower$300The only power building worth building: strong daytime output with a 10 kWh battery for the night.
GarageServices$200Buys, upgrades and recalls vehicles; its chute unloads vehicle hoppers onto a belt.
Foundations, Ramps & StairsConstructionCheapFlatten uneven ground into a tidy factory floor. Five visual styles available.

Building rules

  • Refunds: removing a structure with X returns the full price in the current version (early builds returned 75%). R moves a placed building without removing it.
  • Dust: you can place structures on dusty ground; the dust under the footprint counts as cleaned and pays a little.
  • Snapping: F toggles free placement. If something will not connect, toggle back to snapping.
  • Inputs are specific: the Pressure Chamber and Stone Press have fixed input and output sides. Check before placing.
  • Belts: Ctrl + scroll changes height; plain scroll changes where a splitter or merger output lands.

The production chain

Dust is worth about $1/kg. A Pressure Chamber turns it into sand worth three times as much. A Stone Press combines one part dust and one part sand into stone worth about seven times dust. Collection comes from you, your vehicles, robot vacuums and finally JONAS robots firing capsules into Capsule Catchers.
