Foundations, Ramps & Stairs

Overview

The moon is never flat, and machines on slopes produce awkward belts. Foundations give you a level grid to line up machines and splitters. Pick a platform style at the top of the build menu.

Building on uneven ground leaves hollow gaps under the platform edge. Fill them by placing ramps from the platform down to the ground and repeating along the edge. If a piece refuses to place, dust is usually the culprit — clear it first.

Tips

• Use the platform grid lines to align presses so trunk belts stay straight.
• Spiral staircases are cheap, tall and visible from far away — ideal exploration markers.
