Ride-on Sweeper
Five times the hopper of the Push Sweeper and a 2 m sweep. The first vehicle that clearly beats walking.
Last verified: November 2026 · Steam release build
Overview
The Ride-on Sweeper is the first vehicle where the numbers clearly win: a 2 m sweep instead of 1.35 m and a 500 kg hopper, which is a five-minute session's worth of dust. It is also faster than the Push Sweeper in a straight line.
Its main value is feeding your first Pressure Chamber and Stone Press line. A single full hopper keeps one sand/stone setup busy for a long time, so do not over-invest in upgrades here — the Lunar Sweeper is only $1,500 more.
Garage upgrades
Every vehicle has its own upgrade track in the Garage. Upgrades do not carry over when you buy a bigger vehicle, so only invest heavily in the one you will keep.
| Upgrade | Effect |
|---|---|
| Tuned Motors | Retuned wheels: higher top speed and faster acceleration. |
| Big Hopper / Bigger Hopper | Increases dust tank size (the Mega Vacuum Rover gains about +30% per step). |
| Turbo Kit | Stronger boost (Shift) — around 150% of cruising speed. |
| Cruise Control | Press C to hold your speed without holding W. Essential for long lanes. |
| Suction Control | Unlocks higher suction settings: a wider cleaning strip at the cost of top speed. |
| Lights / Floodlights | Brighter headlights (L) for the long lunar night. |
| Quick Release | Unloads the hopper faster when you park at the garage chute. |
Tips
- Fine to skip if you can reach $2,500 quickly; the Lunar Sweeper is a bigger jump.
- Upgrade Cruise Control first if you keep it — long lanes are where vehicles shine.
Note
Prices are base prices. The Supplier Network economy upgrade takes 10% off tool and container upgrades.
