Lunar Sweeper
Three brushes, a 1,200 kg hopper, lights and a boost. The best value vehicle before the Mega Rover.
Last verified: November 2026 · Steam release build
Overview
The Lunar Sweeper is the vehicle most runs actually use in the mid-game. Three brushes cover a wide lane, the 1,200 kg hopper lets you run far before returning, and with boost and lights you can work straight through the lunar night.
At this point your bottleneck moves from collection to processing. One full hopper can clog a single Pressure Chamber + Stone Press line, so build a second production line or add an overflow packager before you upgrade the sweeper further.
Garage upgrades
Every vehicle has its own upgrade track in the Garage. Upgrades do not carry over when you buy a bigger vehicle, so only invest heavily in the one you will keep.
| Upgrade | Effect |
|---|---|
| Tuned Motors | Retuned wheels: higher top speed and faster acceleration. |
| Big Hopper / Bigger Hopper | Increases dust tank size (the Mega Vacuum Rover gains about +30% per step). |
| Turbo Kit | Stronger boost (Shift) — around 150% of cruising speed. |
| Cruise Control | Press C to hold your speed without holding W. Essential for long lanes. |
| Suction Control | Unlocks higher suction settings: a wider cleaning strip at the cost of top speed. |
| Lights / Floodlights | Brighter headlights (L) for the long lunar night. |
| Quick Release | Unloads the hopper faster when you park at the garage chute. |
Tips
- Keep your lanes straight and long; turning wastes more time than driving.
- Craters will throw you. Slow down near rims or go around.
- Bench it once you own the Mega Vacuum Rover — or keep it as a second collector for a co-op partner.
Note
Prices are base prices. The Supplier Network economy upgrade takes 10% off tool and container upgrades.
