Hand Brush
The first tool worth upgrading. Its $10 container upgrade pays for itself in ten trips.
Last verified: November 2026 · Steam release build
Overview
With the Hand Brush you finally earn about a dollar per trip. This is where the upgrade maths starts to matter: the $10 container upgrade doubles the brush to 2 kg. Ten more trips without it earns $10; ten trips with it earns $20, so the upgrade is paid back by the trips you were going to make anyway.
From this point the rule of thumb holds for every tool: the first container level on any tool is always worth buying, because it doubles your income per trip for a small price. Later levels get expensive faster than they pay back, which is when moving to the next tool wins.
Tips
- Buy the container upgrade immediately, then save for the Household Broom.
- Keep the Hand Brush once you move on — with extra tool belt slots, an old tool becomes a spare dust container you can fill on the walk back.
Note
Prices are base prices. The Supplier Network economy upgrade takes 10% off tool and container upgrades.
