Overview
Your shift starts with a single toothbrush pulled from the supply wall inside North Station. The dust container is the tiny capsule clipped to the back of the brush, and it fills after a few strokes. One full load sells for roughly fifty cents at the depot, which tells you exactly how the early economy is tuned: every early purchase is about getting off this tool as quickly as possible.
Do not try to clean a hex properly with it. Run in straight lines across untouched dust so every stroke is full, walk the capsule back to the depot, and sell. Ten loads gets you the Nail Brush, and from there the next tools arrive in minutes rather than hours.
Should you upgrade the toothbrush container?
The $5 container upgrade doubles the toothbrush to 1 kg, but the Nail Brush also costs $5 and is wider. Spend your first $5 on the Nail Brush. The toothbrush upgrade only matters if you are chasing a self-imposed challenge run.
Tips
- Sweep fresh, untouched dust only — half-empty strokes waste time when the container is this small.
- Stay within a short walk of the depot door; the return trip is longer than the sweeping.
- Your first deposit, first sale and first cleaned patch all pop achievements, so the toothbrush phase is never wasted.
